How Do I Enable/Disable Active X Controls From SP2s' New Information Toolbar

To be honest there is no easy way around this one simply because the active x controls can only be enable/disabled individually not in an ad-hoc manner. This is because the active x controls are blocked automatically by windows xp. However for individual Active X controls there are two options you can use.

Allowing Active X Controls via the Information Toolbar

1/ If you simply want to allow the active X to run click the message on the Information Toolbar and select Install

Enabling/Disabling Active X Controls via the Manage Plugins option

1/ In Internet explorer Click on the Tools option on the main toolbar

2/ From the drop down menu select the Manage Plugins option

3/ Select the publisher or name of the Active X Control to highlight it

4/ At the bottom of the window under 'settings' click the Enable or Disable radio button to affect the result you desire
